From October 30 to October 31, the 18th China Finance Annual Conference, jointly sponsored by Xiamen University and the Council of China Finance Annual Conference and organized by the School of Management of Xiamen University, was held in Xiamen University. In the meeting, our school was elected as the council member. Professor Lv Xin, assistant dean, attended the meeting on behalf of our school.
The China Finance Annual Conference is the highest level of the discipline of finance nationwide, covering Chinese mainland, and Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan.The annual meeting has been held annually since 2004 on the last weekend of October, rotating by major universities in China.The Quarterly Journal of Finance, an academic journal established by the annual conference, has been selected as the CSSCI for many consecutive years.
After the continuous development in recent years, the finance major of our school has formed a number of more distinctive research directions, such as: energy, environment, carbon finance, national defense finance, etc..The school has set up a new undergraduate major in Fintech, combined with the first-class undergraduate major in information management and information system, which aims to cultivate high-level composite talents to meet the needs of national economic and social development.Our school will take the opportunity of this election as a council member of the Finance Annual Conference to continue to promote the characteristic development of finance specialty and help the construction of "double first-class".
