November 15,2020, the National key R & D Program "Climate change Economic impact Assessment Model Research (2016 YFA0602600)" 2020 academic exchange was held in Beijing. The meeting was organized by the Beijing Institute of Technology Energy and Environmental Policy Research Center. The leaders of the High Technology Center of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the members of the project expert group, the leaders of the scientific research institutes of the school, and the project leaders and key researchers of the National Information Center, the National Climate Center, Peking University, Tsinghua University and the Shanghai Institute of Advanced Studies of the Chinese Academy of Sciences participated in the exchange meeting. The project expert group is composed of experts from Nanjing University, Zhejiang University, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, China Institute of Water Conservancy and Hydropower Sciences, East China University of Technology, Guangdong Ocean University, Beijing normal University, etc.
At the exchange meeting, the head of the department introduced the performance management reform of the national key R & D project and gave instructions on strengthening the project management. The leaders of the school's scientific research institute addressed the meeting. Professor Wei Yiming, the project leader, reported on the overall situation of the project, and each project leader reported on the progress of each project. The project backbone members made research reports around global climate change self-protection strategy and China carbon neutralization path design, climate loss assessment and disaster footprint model development, atmospheric CO2 concentration estimation, global-national-regional CGE modeling and so on. The project team has made important progress in scientific research, talent training, decision support, and international influence.
The expert group questioned the research work of the project and each subject, affirmed the research results, and put forward constructive suggestions for further improvement. After the meeting, the project team summarized the leadership and expert advice and deployed the follow-up research work.
