On April 13, Tang Baojun, Dean of the School of Management and the Institute of International Organization Innovation at Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT), led a team to the Zhuhai campus for a research and exchange visit. The delegation included Liu Hao, Zhang Xiang, Chen Xiang, Guan Hong, and Ye Xuanting from the School of Management. Members of the BIT (Zhuhai) Joint Working Conference, including Li Jinping, Shi Jianwei, Shao Liwei, and Ding Xuan, along with heads of relevant units, participated in the meeting.
Li Jinping extended a warm welcome to Dean Tang Baojun and his delegation, providing a detailed introduction to the historical background, educational positioning, development plans, and support policies of the Zhuhai campus. He highlighted the profound achievements of the School of Management in discipline construction, scientific research, and talent cultivation, expressing hope for accelerating the development of the Zhuhai campus into a world-class university campus through joint key projects.
Dean Tang Baojun introduced the current status of the School of Management and the Institute of International Organization Innovation. He emphasized focusing on internationalization and the cultivation of EMBA and other specialized graduate programs in the near term, aligning with the school's strategic layout, leveraging the advantages of the Greater Bay Area, strengthening international education, and serving the economic and social development of the Greater Bay Area.
Liu Hao discussed efforts to promote the establishment of international organizations in Zhuhai, joint graduate programs with international organizations such as the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), preparations for international conferences and events, and plans for attracting high-level international talent.
The meeting also featured in-depth discussions on topics such as team building, research layout, integration of industry, academia, and research, student internships and practical training, and collaboration with local governments.
Before the meeting, the delegation visited the Greater Bay Area Innovation Research Institute, faculty apartments, student dormitories, and the comprehensive cultural and sports center.
