On the morning of February 10, Qin Zhihui, deputy secretary of the Beijing Institute of Technology Party Committee and secretary of the discipline Inspection Commission, visited the School of Management and Economics. The leadership of the School participated in the discussion and exchange. The meeting was presided over by Yan Zhijun, secretary of the school party committee.
Accompanied by Dean Wang Zhaohua and Secretary Yan Zhijun, Secretary Qin Zhihui first visited the school laboratories, and made a detailed understanding of the overall environment, hardware facilities and the development history.
At the meeting, Dean Wang Zhaohua first welcomed and thanked Secretary Qin Zhihui on behalf of the School. He introduced the school's operation and a series of achievements from the aspects of talent training, scientific research, team building, international cooperation and party building, and reported in particular on the school's construction plan during the 14th Five-Year Plan in conjunction with the development strategy proposed by the 15th Party Congress of the school. Then the other leaders also reported to Secretary Qin Zhihui on their respective responsibilities.
After listening to the reports, Secretary Qin Zhihui fully affirmed the development and achievements of the school for more than 40 years. He pointed out that the reform and opening up of the country has made great achievements, the School of Management and Economic is closely related to the development of the country, and is facing new opportunities and challenges. The school should strengthen its own construction, give play to its discipline characteristics, base itself on national needs, combine the international frontier, and serve the local economy. He stressed that the school should be problem-oriented, adhere to the connotation of development, firmly grasp the socialist direction of running schools, firmly grasp the fundamental task of building up people, firmly adhere to the bottom line of clean discipline, and contribute to the "double first-class" construction of the school.
