March 24, 2017, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China officially announced the 2016 annual innovation and entrepreneurship scholarship winners list, Beijing Institute of Science and Technology School of Management and Economics 2015 MBA student Xu Lin, recommended by the School for the selection of Entrepreneurship Scholarship Award, received the "2016 Annual MIIT innovation and entrepreneurship scholarship" first prize.
The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology set up the "Innovation Entrepreneurship Scholarship" for the subordinate universities, in which innovative scholarship awarded students outstanding in academic innovation, discipline competition and scientific and technological inventions and other aspects of achievements, and entrepreneurship scholarship awarded students prominent in independent business, entrepreneurial practice and other aspects. In 2016 selection, after the scholarship review panel validation, a total of 63 entrepreneurship scholarship first prizes were awarded.
