Professor Georgia Tbilisi State University Vakhtang Charaia gives report: Feed, Photography: Department of Accounting Editor: School of Management and Economics

  At the invitation of the School of Management and Economics, Professor Georgia Tbilisi State University Vakhtang Charaia came to our school for an exchange visit and made a speech entitled "Trade, Investment and Transit" at 3:00 pm on June 19, 2018 in the main building. This is an academic report between South Caucasus, China and EU under One Belt, One Road Initiative. Accounting department teachers and graduate students participated in the report.

  The report discussed how trade, investment and transshipment operations are carried out in China and the Transcaucasian region to serve countries along the Belt and Road.

  The study analyzes the opportunities and challenges brought by China's Belt and Road Initiative to the EU and the Transcaucasian countries. International trade, foreign investment and transshipment corridors as research objects, their impact on foreign countries are discussed. Transcaucasian countries can accelerate the implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative.

  Personal Profile:

  Dr. Associated Prof. Vakhtang Charaia is the Head of TSU Center for Analysis and Forecasting; He is the Vice President at the Georgian Small and Medium Enterprise Association; Head of the Economics department of Young Scientists Council at Georgian National Academy of Sciences and Former TV anchor for analytical show – “Business Code”. Since Dec 2015 he is Affiliated Lecturer of Harvard Business School Institute for Strategy and Competitiveness. At different times he studied and did his PhD researches at Tbilisi State University (Georgia), Passau University, University of Bremen (Germany), European University at St. Petersburg (Russia), Institute of Government Accounts and Finance (India), University of Tartu (Estonia) and George Washington University (USA).
