On September 3, 2019, the ceremony for the 2019 freshmen and parents' meeting and the "Dean’s Academic Scholarship" of the School of Management and Economics was held.Dean Wei Yiming, Party Secretary Wang Zhaohua, members of the college leadership team, deputy directors of various departments, academic tutors, external tutors, counselors, etc. gathered together with 244 freshmen and parents.The meeting was hosted by Vice Dean Meng Fanchen.
After the melodious string quartet, Dean Wei Yiming and Secretary Wang Zhaohua delivered speeches respectively.On behalf of the college, Wei Yiming expressed warm congratulations and welcome to the 2019 freshmen and parents.He emphasized that the university's position and mission is to cultivate talents, scientific research, social services and cultural heritage, and hope that students will spend their college time without regrets and put forward the "three-learning" view: college students must learn to be human beings and be responsible people; learning knowledge, reading books, broadening their horizons; learning to do things, improving their ability in practice and activities outside the school.I hope that the new students can do a good job of time management, actively live an intense and enriched college life, and enter into the role of college freshmen as soon as possible.
