On the afternoon of December 23,2019, the "Beijing Institute of Technology 2019 Outstanding Foreign Student Recognition and 2020 New Year's Party was held in the stadium. Beijing Institute of Technology Party Secretary Zhao Changlu, Vice President Wang Bo, as well as the school's various functional departments representatives, and nearly 1,000 foreign students attended the event. The venue is fully packed, and the atmosphere is warm. With the expansion of foreign students and the improvement of student quality, a group of outstanding students have emerged. Outstanding foreign students with outstanding academic achievements and outstanding performance were commended. Ahmed Zahoor (Pakistan), a Ph.D. student at the School of Management and Economics, has obtained the "Excellent Doctoral International Student of Beijing Institute of Technology for the Year 2019" with excellent academic achievements, excellent scientific research ability and abundant academic achievements.
Ahmed Zahoor is a doctoral student in business administration at the School of Management and Economics of Beijing Institute of Technology, whose research work mainly involves environmental sustainability in developing countries, such as rising ecological footprint, urbanization, environmental awareness, low-carbon transportation and so on. He published 4 papers in the major international sci/SSCI journals, Environmental Science and Pollution Research, Air Quality, Atmosphere & Health. Ahmed Zahoor's mentor is Professor Wang Zhaohua, who has won the award for "My favorite teacher in BIT".
