October 18, 2013, Dean Xu Boan, Hubei Provincial Science and Technology Information Research Institute, visited the Knowledge Management and Data Analysis Laboratory. The Laboratory deputy director Associate Professor Wang Xuefeng met with the guests at conference room 418 in the main building. Hubei Science and Technology Information Research Institute Vice Dean Yan HuiChao, and relevant personnel from Strategic Studies Institute, Novelty Retrieval Center accompanied the visit.
Dr. Zhang Yi briefly reported on the laboratory's basic situation, focusing on research results on the laboratory data mining, technology assessment and technology forecasting areas, especially the cooperation of the China, United States and Britain Joint Technology Innovation Laboratory (Beijing Institute of Technology Experiment Knowledge Management and Data Analysis Lab - Georgia Institute of Technology Policy Assessment Centre - Manchester Business School Innovation Policy Research Institute); professor Wang Xuefeng gave a brief demonstration of a scientific literature analysis software developed by the Laboratory.
Dean Xu Boan briefed the purpose of this visit, and Vice Dean Yan HuiChao introduced the idea of bilateral cooperation combining both strengths.
