June 20, 2016, at 19:00, at the invitation of the School of Economics and Management, Professor Sridhar Narasimhan from the Georgia Institute of Technology paid an exchange visit to our school, and gave an academic report entitled "Social Media and Flash Sales: An Empirical analysis" at Conference Room 418 in the main building. The lecture was hosted by Professor Yan Zhijun. A number of SME teachers and students participated in the report.
Currently Maker Movement is in the ascendant. In a market characterized by increasingly significant long tail trend, how to make effective marketing of new brands and products, quickly increase sales and win loyal customers become a concern for the makers. Professor Narasimhan studied the impact of flash sales and social network communication (e-commerce website, Facebook, Pinterest) on sales.
