[Mingli Lecture 2021 Issue 33]

Time: 9:00-10:00 am, July 2 (Saturday)

Tencent Conference number: 259 191 668

Speaker:

Professor Mo Yuchang, Huaqiao University Speaker Profile: Mo Yuchang, male, born in 1980, computer at Harbin Institute of Technology Bachelor of Science and Technology, Master of Computer System Architecture from Harbin Institute of Technology, Doctor of Computer System Architecture from Harbin Institute of Technology, visiting scholar from University of Massachusetts Scholarship Council. Currently, he is a Distinguished Professor of Minjiang Scholars in the School of Mathematical Sciences, Huaqiao University, Director of the Key Laboratory of Computing Science in Fujian Province, a senior member of IEEE, and an executive director of the Reliability Branch of China Operations Research Society.

Introduction to the report:

This report briefly introduces static fault tree modeling and binary decision diagram analysis methods, as well as state transition diagram modeling and Markov regenerative stochastic process analysis methods; multi-state fault tree modeling and multi-value decision diagram analysis methods , as well as dynamic fault tree modeling and multi-value decision diagram analysis methods; and proposed a unified modeling and analysis method under the multi-value decision diagram framework. From the application point of view, it further introduces how to apply the theoretical research results to the reliability modeling and analysis of various practical computing systems, including distributed computing systems that undertake staged tasks, fault-tolerant computing systems using dynamic fault-tolerant mechanisms, and cluster architectures. network computing system, distributed computing system with multi-state voting structure, IoT computing system in IoT applications, etc. By accurately evaluating the reliability indicators of various computing systems, it provides a theoretical basis for formulating high-reliability design schemes (such as redundant system structures and underlying fault-tolerant mechanisms, etc.); design, configuration strategy of system spare parts library, etc.) to provide theoretical basis.
