1-16 Dr. Du Jian, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences: Correlation Analysis and Benchmarking in Medical Scientometrics

  Speaker Profile:

  Du Jian, Ph.D. in Information Science, deputy director of the Information Consulting Department of the Institute of Medical Information, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences. He was selected by the China Association for Science and Technology's Young Talents Project, and the receiver of the first China Science and Technology Information Society Young Intelligence Scientist Award. The main research directions are: scientometric indicators and methods, biomedical information retrieval and knowledge mining. He has presided over 6 national youth science fund youth projects, and has published more than 60 academic papers in Chinese and English core journals such as JASIST, Scientometrics, Science Research, and Intelligence Journal, and 5 SCI/SSCI. Completed a number of consulting research reports on frontier technology innovation situation research, discipline competitiveness evaluation, and medical science and technology power country strategy research. He currently works as a reviewer for journals such as JASIST, Scientometrics, and Library and Information Work.

  Introduction:

  In the era of large and data-intensive science, the field of medical science emphasizes the whole chain of “fund support-basic research-clinical research-technology research and development-product commercialization”, and it is necessary to explore the correlation structure in the innovation chain through data linkage analysis. The reporter will introduce the relevant methods of “gene-drug-disease association analysis”, “fund support-thesis-patent-new drug association analysis” and its implications for knowledge discovery and science and technology policy. At the same time, the ideas of the comparative research in the field of clinical medicine were introduced into the study of scientometrics. The research on the methods of scientometrics and the application of measurement were carried out through the comparison between the data sets and the reference system.
