[Mingli Lecture Hall 2020] Professor Dai Hongyan of Business School of Central University of Finance and Economics was invited to report

On December 3,2020, [Mingli Lecture Hall, 42,2020] was lucky to invite Professor Dai Hongyan from Business School of Central University of Finance and Economics to bring you an academic report entitled "Values of Personalization in O2O On-Demand Delivery with Crowd-Sourced Drivers", which was held at 418 of the main building.Li Guo, Wang Jiancai, Zhang Yucai and many other teachers and students of the School of Management and Economics attended the lecture. The host was Professor Ran Lun from the Department of Management Science and Logistics of the School of Management and Economics.

In the report, Professor Dai Hongyan first introduced the rise of O2O services, enabling customers to put and drop orders online, and receive offline products / services within one hour.O2O on-demand services are characterized by high time sensitivity and volatility. The emergence of crowdsourcing distribution alleviates the challenges of both demand fluctuations and on-demand distribution. However, this new model will have the problem of inconsistent delivery service capabilities. Then Professor Dai Hongyan analyzed the research to solve such problems, that is, to apply machine learning technology to learn the heterogeneous behavior of crowdsourced deliverrs, and to develop a personalized prediction model to accurately predict the delivery time. And ML-based learning model and O2O assignment and routing model are combined to improve model performance. Finally, validation based on the real dataset of the largest O2O platform in China demonstrates that the proposed algorithm can reduce the delay rate and shorten the delivery time.

The report aroused great interest from teachers and students, and launched a heated discussion and exchange. Professor Dai Hongyan interacted with the participating teachers and students in real time, and had a heated discussion and exchange on the theoretical support and research related issues of the paper. The response was warm, which received unanimous praise by teachers and students!
