倫敦國王學院Mingzhu Wang副教授應邀于2018年8月24日在主樓216會議室作了題為“Two Research Projects on Mutual Funds ”的學術報告。
Mingzhu Wang副教授從投資基金的發展講起，介紹了當前世界范圍內投資基金的基本概況和特點，詳細介紹了她的兩篇關于投資基金研究的工作論文，并回答了在場師生提出的問題。
她的第一篇工作論文主要探討了投資基金的股東方性質及國別在IPO階段是否發揮了更好的價值發現作用。她通過分析我國資本市場中IPO公司一年之內的長期持有超額回報等指標，發現非國有背景的投資基金在挑選IPO對象時更能選擇到高回報的公司，投資基金中如果有來自英美等國家的股東也會挑選到更高回報的IPO公司。她的第二篇工作論文采用多國數據討論了外部信用環境對投資基金可持續投資行為的影響。如果投資所在國的信用環境更好，那么投資基金投資于可持續發展得分高的公司的傾向性越強。這兩篇工作論文關注了投資基金研究領域的熱點和前沿問題，對于從事相關領域研究的老師和同學們都非常有啟發。
主講人介紹： Mingzhu Wang is an associate professor from King’s Business School, King’s College London. She obtained her PhD in Accounting and Finance from Alliance Manchester Business School, University of Manchester. She is interested in conducting empirical research on institutional investors, corporate social responsibility, corporate governance and financial reporting quality. She has published in leading international journals like Journal of Corporate Finance, Journal of Accounting and Public Policy, European Journal of Finance, Journal of Business Ethics and Corporate Governance: an International Review amongst others. Her publication in Journal of Accounting and Public Policy is certified by the journal editors as Top 5 highly cited paper in 2014-2016 and is now still one of the most cited articles published in this journal. Since 2017, she has been acting as the deputy PhD program director and coordinator of King’s Business School.
