2020年7月25日，【明理講堂2020年第14期暨百家大講堂Online系列專題學(xué)術(shù)講座】有幸邀請到美國馬里蘭大學(xué)史密斯商學(xué)院高國棟教授為大家?guī)眍}為“AI and healthcare”的學(xué)術(shù)報(bào)告。主持人為美國北卡羅萊納大學(xué)張東松教授。
高國棟教授提及，健康領(lǐng)域中存在大量的臨床和非臨床數(shù)據(jù)，這些數(shù)據(jù)具有非常高的信息價(jià)值。為了合理地使用這些數(shù)據(jù)，高國棟教授介紹了圖像識(shí)別、自然語言處理等方法在健康領(lǐng)域的具體應(yīng)用情況，并展示了多個(gè)實(shí)例和模型。
報(bào)告結(jié)束后，參會(huì)學(xué)者與高國棟教授就AI在健康領(lǐng)域應(yīng)用的相關(guān)問題進(jìn)行了熱烈的討論和交流，報(bào)告反響熱烈，受到了廣大師生的一致好評(píng)！
附：高國棟教授簡介
Guodong (Gordon) Gao, Ph.D., M.B.A., is the director of the Health Insights AI Lab, the co-director of the Center for Health Information and Decision Systems (CHIDS), and professor at the Smith School of Business, University of Maryland, College Park. He received his PhD from the University of Pennsylvania, his MBA from Tsinghua-MIT Sloan joint program, and bachelor’s degrees from Tsinghua University. His research interests include Big Data and Artificial Intelligence in healthcare, health IT, and quality transparency. His work has been published at leading journals like Management Science, Information Systems Research, MIS Quarterly, Manufacturing and Service Operations Management (M&SOM), and Production and Operations Management. His work is also published or presented in the healthcare outlets, such as JAMA Internal Medicine, Journal of Medical Internet Research, International Health Economics Association Conference, as well as the American Society of Health Economists conference and Academy Health Annual Research meeting. Dr. Gao’s research has been profiled or featured in popular media such as the Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, NPR news, US News and World Report, and Reuters. He currently serves on the editorial board of Management Science, and served as Associate Editor for MIS Quarterly. Dr. Gao initiated and co-organize the annual Conference on Health IT and Analytics (CHITA). He has won several teaching and research awards, including the Teaching Excellence Award at the Smith School and the CAREER Award from the National Science Foundation.
