12月21日，【明理講堂2021年第69期】有幸邀請到香港浸會大學Christy M.K. Cheung教授為大家帶來題為“When socialization goes wrong: collective trolling on social media”的學術報告。偉德國際1946bv官網管理與經濟學院教授顏志軍向大家介紹了Christy老師并主持報告。
Christy老師首先向大家介紹了什么是“trolling”，和網絡霸凌不同，trolling更加有目的性，更加挑釁，在社交平臺上許多惡意的攻擊活動引發了憤怒的反應。Christy老師希望利用社會技術視角來了解參與社交媒體trolling的意圖。Christy老師向大家介紹了她的研究模型，模型從社交匿名性、社會技術、社會認同等方面檢驗了社會技術促進網絡trolling行為的作用，研究結果推動了這一領域的理論進步，同時，研究結果能夠為社交媒體平臺所有者提供實際的指導，幫助他們制定及時的措施來打擊trolling行為。
Christy老師的報告充分調動了與會老師和同學的興趣和積極性，報告結束后，各位老師和同學積極和Christy老師交流互動，報告反響熱烈，收到了老師和同學們的一致好評。
附：Christy M.K. Cheung老師簡介
Christy M.K. Cheung is a Professor in the Department of Finance and Decision Sciences of Hong KongBaptist University. She is the awardee of the Research Grant Council (Hong Kong) Senior ResearchFellow scheme with the funding to advance research into the role of technology in online collective deviant behavior. She earned a Ph.D. in Information Systems from the College of Business at City University of Hong Kong. Her research interests include Technology Use and Well-Being, Social Media,Societal Impact of Technology Use. She has published more than 200 refereed articles in internationaljournals and conference proceedings, including MIS Quarterly, Information Systems Research, Journal of Management Information Systems and Journal of the Association for Information Systems. Sheserves as the Editor-in-Chief at Internet Research and the President of AIS-Hong Kong Chapter.
